Dux Jones (Pronounced “Duke”) Born Craig Jenkins, this Detroit, Michigan native and former basketball player found his true calling when he fell in love with music. Dux dedicated himself to becoming the ultimate emcee. His influences vary; a huge fan of all types of music, movies, and art, Dux Jones would argue that it’s those pieces that “grab the soul” inspire him to reach beyond the song.

In the recent times Dux most noted accomplishment was the license placement of his song “Pourin it on” in the #1 selling NBA 2K11 video game. The song “Pourin it on” was featured on the video game and soundtrack. He also scored 4 production credits in the video game development.

Dux Jones music continues to license well and was recently featured in “EA Sport online” for the China edition. In 2008 he halted just long enough to convene with fellow Visionaries, 30Water and Bey. Together they formed The “Uncanny” Loser Crew, a trinity of masterfully creative minds, devoted to Peace, Love and Enlightenment, all in SUPER groovy fashion.

Records like Michael Jackson’s Thriller and movies like the Hughes Brothers’ Menace II Society balance Dux between fantasy and reality and allow him to create a world “Where Every Thing’s Different,” but still a reflection of his personal experience. Detroit births a distinct sound; a sound filled with pain, love, passion, fear, faith and strength, Dux plans to continue the legacy. Fast forward to 2013 and Dux Jones has signed a world-wide recording and publishing agreement with indie power house “ Blue Pie Records”. Under the watchful eye of Brian Lassiter and Damien Reilly, Dux Jones is now developing his live show for tour dates to be announced later in 2013.
