Biography

Dery Lewis is known for his true Jamaican style that has wowed the crowds from all over the world. Early in his career, Dery was the lead singer of a small band ‘New World Aggregation’ in the community of Anchovy, Jamaica. Dery has performed many shows opening for popular artists such as Hopeton Lewis, Ernie Smith, and Franke Paul. Currently, Dery is the lead singer for ‘Roots Vibrations’ who tours on the high seas around the world.

Dery Lewis (professional name) was born Dery Arthur Alista Leslie in Westmoreland, Jamaica. He, like many, started singing in church at an early age and realized that this was his special talent and wanted to make singing and performing his lifelong dream. His passion is for music as a singer/performer, song writer, and CEO of his production company, Dery Lewis Production. Although Dery enjoys traveling the high seas and performing for and entertaining people all over the world, his desire is to become a world-renown solo artist and continue to write, produce, and perform his original works. Presently, Dery has three of his original works available on SongCast Music, Phapsody, Spotify, Google Play for your listening enjoyment and iTunes, AmazonMP3, eMusic for downloads.

Although touring 9-10 months a year limits Dery’s time in the studio, he has produced three original songs; I Wanna Know, Mama (This One Is For You) and Beautiful People. He is currently putting finishing touches on two additional songs that he plans to release in the winter of 2013/2014. While touring, Dery continues to write songs gathering inspiration from the many diverse people that he meets, places that he visits and everyday life.
