His Ministry



Dee Black began this journey of music at the age of 16. His great talent had been validated with success in the secular arena. Early in his music career, he had the opportunity to share the stage with well-known artists such as NAS, The Roots,and many others. Although successful, Dee Black was not truly fulfilled. It was not until the age of 23, that he completely surrendered his gift to the one who gave it to him in the first place. Since then, his potential has began to maximize as evident by the establishment of his own record label (January 2010), the release of his debut CD "The Book of Life" The book of life will be re released through EMI IN 2012.(September 2010) and the upcoming release of his second album (AUG 2012) . The Book of life has earned Dee Black many award nominations including a Dove Award in 2011. Dee Black is an "extraordinary anointed and gifted artist". He lives what he speaks......that solidifies his music!




His Music



Dee Black's music is a mix of hip hop, R&B, and gospel. It is practical to those who never stepped foot into a church as well as to those who have a relationship with Christ. His music has been categorized as "life music". It tells the story of everyday life and gives life to those who have no hope. Dee Black was blessed to be considered for a Dove award nomination in 2011. He also was chosen to minister at the Gospel Hip Hop awards in 2011 in Atlanta Ga. He is currently traveling and ministering in various cities.




HisStory



Dee Black is the producer, song writer, and CEO of HisStory Music Group. Established in January 2010, the name HisStory originated from the fact that every song tells a story. Whether an illustrated musical picture of everyday life, the Word of God, or a testimony....it's your story, my story, or his story!
