Biography
Chris Taylor's love for music goes as far back as he can remember. He started taking piano lessons at the age of 8, and has been writing songs since he was in high school. After college, he built a career as a radio on-air personality, voiceover artist, and club/mobile DJ. Working in radio gave him the opportunity to listen to thousands of the best songs New York, L.A., and Nashville had to offer, in a wide variety of genres.

Now Chris applies that lifetime of love and learning to his debut release as a solo artist, "In Those Days." This is classic keyboard-driven pop in the soft rock / adult contemporary style. Working with Portland, Oregon producer and multi-instrumentalist Bart Hafeman, Chris builds a solid musical framework to tell stories about what's important to him: love, family, and faith.

The album's leadoff singles, "Absorbed With You" (AC) and "Ricochet" (Hot Country), are about the love of his life - his wife Barb. "Give A Damn" and "Fingerprints" honor his father and his late mother, respectively. And the title track "In Those Days" tells the story of a single mom from Denmark struggling to raise her child in the Upper Midwest after fleeing scandal in her hometown. The child was Chris' grandfather, and he brings this family secret into the light with respect and compassion.

A strong current of faith runs through this album, just below the surface. And in songs like "My Neighborhood," "Angels In Waiting," and "Oh Lord," it breaks out into the open. If you want to know how believing in something you can't see can make a difference in your life, have a listen.
