Cathy jj, the new rock pop feme fatal !Now living, breathing and eating rock/pop music in London, Cathy jj has teamed up with XWAVE Records to write her debut Album, “Feathers”. It’s a mix of Rock/ Pop/ Ballads and generally catchy, toe tapping music! Her first single, “Peacock feathers” is due for release on I tunes in March, and already being played in the USA on “Air radio”, “I really love the song” and “phoneixradio” , “ It is sharp & really strong! “, where her music has been a big hit. She is gigging all around the London circuit, and also taking trips up to the North to gig around her local area. Bourn and bread in Manchester 12 Feb, 1985, she was brought up around the Folk, and acoustic 60’s genre of music. With her musical parents, music was an everyday activity that she was encourage to part take in. Choirs, Karaoke and showcasing her voice at her Irish Catholic family gatherings was a weekly occurrence! Her favorite Karaoke track to sing was always Dusty Springfield, “I only wanna be with you”, where she would regularly stop the flow of conversation in a room and bring everyone to an awed stand still with her stunning voice. In her early teens she worked with many producers up north, and featured on some of the sound tracks for the Yorkshire TV movies. She sang at show cases and gig’s and won trophies for her accapella version of Whitney’s, “I will always love you”, . . . not an easy 1 to sing at 15! She has a vast musical experience, including backing singing for such names as Beverly Knight, Mish Paris, Russell Whatson, and also regularly appears on the ITV Celebrity themed shows, singing for the celebs! She has some big performance under her belt, singing at the Albert Hall, Jazz Café, and Bridge Water Hall just to name a few! She hopes to spread her music around the UK, US and Europe, ignightling that old favorite, Rock Pop! Watch this space!
