Biography
Bonni has a smooth soulful sound all her own. With one note, she can go from the bottom to the top of the scale, captivating an audience with her commanding stage presence. The unmatched uniqueness of her 4 ½ octave voice is what sets her apart from the average performer. With a voice that ranges from soft, subtle and sexy to outright power house, this lady could sing the phone book and make it a hit!

Since 1992, Bonni has performed in a vast array of events in San Diego and Los Angeles. She has performed studio vocals for various local artists in Rock, Hip Hop, R & B, Gospel and Country music genres. She has also recorded a commercial jingle for Home Together Furnishings and a commercial advertisement for San Diego’s Jazz FM 98.1 radio station. She sang with two San Diego old school funk bands, one of which, she was vocal director. Her live stage performances include the Annual San Diego Music Awards, the 1994 San Diego Super Bowl Pre-Game show, BET All Girls Comedy Night, Jackie Jackson’s Tomorrow’s Stars Today talent showcase, Ray Jareau’s Hollywood Showcase, and opening act for R&B recording artists, Vibe, Strictly for You, and Lenny Williams.

In an effort to expand her creative horizons, Bonni began working in musical theatre. In her first musical production, “An Evening of Arlen” with the Community Actors Theatre in San Diego, CA, Bonni wowed the audience with her personal spin on classic favorites like Stormy Weather, Come Rain or Come Shine, and The Man That Got Away, receiving rave reviews from a prominent San Diego theatre critic. She began working with the California Youth Conservatory Theatre as a featured performer in the benefit concert, A Night on Broadway in March 2011. In August 2011, Bonni completed a 10-show run in her first major musical production, Ragtime, in which she received a standing ovation for her solo performance. She also performed in Big River in March 2012, playing the principle role of Alice. Bonni has released her first single, What's It Gonna Be as well as a 4-song maxi-single from her upcoming solo CD, She Is. Yes, this lady does it all! She acts, sings, writes, and produces her own music.
