Biography
Bill Vaughan began playing piano at an early age and was performing in bars for tips by the age of 12. He has been singing and performing ever since in and around Washington D.C., across the United States and the universe. He has written more than 200 songs over the years in a wide range of styles, including rock, blues, country, folk and jazz. He has performed with such legends as Roberta Flack, Conway Twitty, Hank Snow, Dave Allen, Danni Leigh, Mac Walter, the Wilkins and many others. In 2005, he his wife, artist, Laurel Vaughan, moved to Woodstock, Virginia, in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. His debut CD, "Songs From the Valley" is inspired by the beauty and history of that place. His second CD is inspired in part by his experience as a survivor of the 9-11 attack at the World Trade Center. The title song, A Phthalo Lullaby, is a reflection in that regard. Currently working on his latest album, he performs regularly in and around the Shenandoah Valley with his band and tours, when the spirit moves him.
