Biography

Angelle born St. Lucian Songstress/Songwriter and Recording Artiste, has been singing from very young. Whilst other seven year old girls played with Barbie Dolls, she was always engaged in singing her heart out at church functions and family gatherings. Angelle kept performing at school functions throughout her childhood and into her teenage years where she attended the St. Joseph’s Convent. At the latter, she partook in various school activities, major events, and talent competitions, performing dance, drama and singing in the choir.
Angelle’s first recordings were on the Militant For Christ 2006 compilation CD produced by 4YA Studios with Producer Werner “Semi” Francis. The single tracks which got a lot of airplay on the local and regional airwaves were “I Need You” and “Adonai” . This was followed by “Hosanna” also produced by 4YA Studios in 2008 which did just as well.
Following these hits Angelle continued to hit the stage at various church functions and ministering at William Paul’s annual Creole Gospel Concert 2009. In the meantime she continued to work on the production of her album.
Angelle is now proud to launch her first single “Rise Again” from her new album titled Fresh Fire. For the making of this album she teamed up with St. Lucian producers Werner “Semi” Francis and Patrice Regis 4YA Studios.Iit was mastered and mixed by Francis “Leebo” DeLima of Heights Studios and Rawle “Rossi” Alcide of Déjavu Studios and all backup vocals by Linda “Chocolate” Berthier.
A soft launch of the album “Fresh Fire” was done in June of this year amongst the Christian community in St. Lucia , which brought her to perform most of her tracks at the Rizzen FM “Be Dazzled and Delighted” held at Xanadu’s, the Fellowship Churches Concert at the Vigie Playing Field in June 2010. In July 2010 Angelle perfomed at the Unity Crusade in the North and South of St. Lucia, Dame Pearlette Louisy Primary School and at the Bethel Empowerment Center. She continued to be invited to perform at events such as The Youth Convention in August of this year. She is slated to perform at this year’s William Paul Creole Gospel Concert in October.
Angelle is a burgeoning talent with a growing fan base. Her debut album FRESH FIRE is a wonderful collection of inspirational music which will be used as a vehicle to uplift others who have been through adversity. The songs on this CD were all written by Angelle and has been inspired by her own diary that she describes as a “Diary of a Redeemed Black Woman”
