Rising Bluegrass artist Andrew Crawford is excited for the release of his brand new single, “Back With A Lonesome Sound.” The edgy tune marks the South Carolina native’s first solo release since 2021, and is available now via Bonfire Music Group.

“Back With A Lonesome Sound” is an original recording that was self-penned and self-produced by Andrew Crawford. This song is an anthem for the strong at heart, painting a vivid picture of a lone warrior who's triumphed over life's hurdles. It's a powerful, inspiring tune with a twist of solitude that'll leave listeners wanting more! Sonically, it’s straight-ahead Bluegrass, with a modern Bluegrass approach. The title also pays tribute to Crawford’s Bluegrass beginnings, marking a perfect progression from the hitmaker’s debut album, The Lonesome Season. Joining on instrumentals include Jarrod Walker (Billy Strings) on mandolin, Aaron Ramsey (Volume 5) performing bass, Tony Wray playing banjo, Tim Crouch on fiddle, alongside Crawford doing vocals and guitar.

Crawford first broke into the national Bluegrass scene with his previous project, released in 2021. The album turned many heads and became a staple at radio, charting multiple songs on the Bluegrass Today Charts. Additionally, the collection went on to spend a staggering 38 weeks on Roots Music Report’s Contemporary Bluegrass Album Chart, with an impressive five tracks showing up on the Contemporary Bluegrass Song Chart as well. It featured special guests like Shawn Lane, Aaron Ramsey, Josh Harris, Josh Shilling and more. The singer/songwriter has also released music as recently as 2023 with his wife, Brandi Colt. The dynamic pair dropped previous tunes like “Wabash River,” “All I See Is You” and “In This Dirt.”

Andrew Crawford is no stranger to the Bluegrass world, even though he may be newer to some fans. Throughout his career, he has had the opportunity to share the stage with renowned artists from various genres, including Grammy, ACM, CMA, Dove, and IBMA winners. Some of these notable artists include Vince Gill, Jim Lauderdale, Dale Ann Bradley, Rhonda Vincent, and Randy Kohrs, among others. Crawford is highly regarded for his exceptional guitar skills and extensive experience in the studio as a multi-instrumentalist.
