Biography
In April, 2011 unknown Stephanie Ekekezie, AKA 'Adaora', signed a deal with Sound Gems Records and recorded her first single 'Activate'. Prior to this, she had taken part in various talent shows in Nigeria including 'Nigerian Idol' and 'Project Fame', often getting through to the final competition stages. However, she was eventually discovered singing in her local church choir by the Sound Gems label manager and founder, Eddy Bena. The 'Activate' release had a great response from music critics and new fans alike and immediately grabbed the interest of home-based as well as international, artists and producers. Now, tracks produced by Universal's Jaywon, plus AOne Beats of the Maybach Music Group and Young Noble of The Outlawz (Tupac's Outlawz) will all feature on Adaora's upcoming debut album scheduled to be released in 2014. 'Yeb Yeb (Dance)' the first single taken from the album, is now available worldwide in digital stores.

Born in 1986, Lagos, to Eastern Nigerian parents, Adaora attended various schools criss-crossing the country as a boarder, moving to the Northern State of Plateau where she went to the Airforce Girls Military School, Jos, and was there given the opportunity to hone her singing skills. From the age of seven, Adaora sang at many school social events and continued throughout her time at Covenant University, Ota, Ogun State, where she bagged a Bachelor of Science Degree in International Relations. It was at university that she realised her dream was to have a career in music and drew great inspiration and influence from artists such as Beyonce, Christina Aguilera and the Nigerian singer Ige.

With anticipation for Adaora's album building nicely, 'Yeb Yeb (Dance)' paves the way with a big summer cracker of a vocal hook with big underlying beats. The record also features the voice of Maroqs, who recorded and mixed the track. It was produced by Anuabeats Yo in Lagos and mastered at Universal Studios, New York.
