Born Alonzo M. Coley in Chicago on the south side in the Englewood area. He got into trouble at a young age. He first started writing rhymes and music while he was in a juvenile corrections facility. He got his first recording contract at the age of 17 When he signed with a small independent label. He released two singles. He quickly realized that he was put here to make music and to do his part in mentoring the youth of his community and to work at ending gang violence.

In 1999 he was a semi-finalist in the Budweiser Freshest M.C. contest, in 2000 a finalist, and winning the contest in 2002 and 2004 along the way picking up mad props and a very large following of fans on the underground circuit by displaying hot to deaf lyrics and strong stage performances. In the summer of 2005 he released a maxi-single independently. In 2006 came the release of another maxi release. He quickly followed the success of that release to his next maxi single release in the beginning of 2007. In total, he retailed over 80,000 units from the trunk of his car.

Beginning in 2008 for almost 15 month straight, Ya-Boy A.M.C. has held the current # 1 song in the nation for an unsigned Urban Artist on Clear Channel Radio Networks new music website, with over 2,477,000 requested plays. Hey Miss Lady is currently ranked #2 in all genres out of over 23,000 Artists.

Also during 2008 he has built an remarkable fan base and has generated over 11 million website hits/views total. His total YouTube views currently exceeds the 6 million mark. He holds the # 1 & 2 videos on the Faces In The Crowd Showcase YouTube channel, well over 1 million views ahead of the 3rd place video.

Early in 2009, he released his full length CD “iHustle 24/7” and the title track, “iHustle” has received overwhelming acceptance on line and from commercial radio in the US and Europe. Ya-Boy A.M.C. has developed the iHustle brand product line ready for mass production including the hottest Urban apparel, jewelry and timepieces. A video and a major touring production are in the planning stages as well, as he is currently looking for label and sponsorship support.

“iHustle 24/7" contains his two Internet hit singles, "iHustle" and "Hey Miss Lady" along with ten other masterpiece songs straight off the streets of the big city. This album is a perfectly crafted soundtrack of daily Urban Life that fans love. His Myspace and YouTube comments exceed well over 150 per day, and clearly demonstrate that fact. He is adding myspace fans at about 2,000 per week or more.

Following “iHustle 24/7“, Ya-Boy A.M.C. has used his excellent lyrical composition and delivery skills to collaborate on a project with SRC/Universal Artist Shire’. In just a few short weeks, their song “Believer” has accumulated over 200,000 plays and the video ran up 150,000 plays in 10 days, until YouTube developed a counter issue. But his ability to draw big numbers to his videos is clearly obvious.

Currently his myspace plays are over 7.2 million total since May of 2008 and are averaging between 50,000 and 90,000 per day and this Artist is reciving over 260,000 Google search hits per day according to Google.

Google, Myspace, You Tube & Trendrr are all factual sources of his amazing online buzz and intense fan interest. Market Testing of the ‘iHustle Product line was conducted in the Chicago area with very positive results. A Market Test to Commercial Radio was also conducted by a reputable firm, yielding top marks indicating that “iHustle” had overwhelming commercial radio acceptance.

Regardless of what the future has in store, Ya-Boy AMC will maintain his high morals and relentless work ethics, and continue to be an active contributor to his community and a positive mentor of Urban youth. He will always remain in constant connection with his fans and use the latest in technology to offer them new and exciting experiences.
