Biography
After extensive touring over the past four years, Australia’s Voltera have released their long awaited debut concept album "The Birth of the End of the World" which is distributed via Green/MGM and is available now on iTunes and all major record stores, while being supported by a national tour throughout May/July. This 13 track pilgrimage from birth to death examines both civil mortality (or lack thereof) and environmental mortality, and the relationship between the two. The launch in Melbourne at The Evelyn Hotel was a sellout success.

In the past, Voltera have been to chosen to tour the USA as guests on the West Coast leg of the 2006 Vans Warped Tour, which were followed by shows in Phoenix and Portland. In addition, Voltera have been the support for international acts such as KMFDM, Genitorturers, The Birthday Massacre and Covenant, as well as headlining many of their own successful shows all over Australia.

Voltera's "It beats for you" is a featured track on Tony Hawk's Proving Ground whilst "Do What Your Daddy Say" is also featured on Tony Hawk's Project 8 console game.

Voltera are a multi-faceted four piece established in the underground, being sophisticated, emotive and distinct manipulators of the darker genres while drawing on their collective musical influences to create an eclectic twist on alternative and industrial sounds, within an accurate environmental backdrop.

In an industry dominated by men, the cliché is abandoned with instigator Jess assembling Voltera's diverse talent into a defiant armada against capitalist indulgence. A graduate from the vocally unconventional, Jess' vocal range is rampant and unique, extending from dark and melodic to an ardent guttural bawl, thus delivering a captivating live performance immersed in the avant-garde.
