Biography
Vaughn Rowsell has music in his veins. Growing up in a musical family in Glovertown, Newfoundland, Canada, Vaughn soon became accustomed to singing, composing, playing string instruments and touring across Canada with his father Fred Rowsell (a.k.a. Bobby Evans) and, later, with his band The Cobblestones.
After spending time in a recording studio while working in Toronto, Vaughn moved home and opened his own recording studio in 1992. He has written numerous songs over the years and has produced and co-written songs with many local artists. Vaughn also branched out into radio and television where he has written and produced over 50 radio jingles and travelled extensively as a location sound recordist while recording audio for television programs, documentaries and dramas. In addition, he has mixed countless episodes and documentaries for Animal Planet, CBC, Discovery Channel and other networks.
Over the past 15 years, Vaughn has also created a name for himself in the concert promotion business bringing top country and rock performers to Atlantic Canada including Alan Jackson, Keith Urban, Tim McGraw, and Vince Gill to name a few. In 2016, Vaughn went out on his own to form VaughnCo Entertainment. Since then he has been promoting all genres of musical performers, bands and family entertainment to audiences right across Canada.
Vaughn lives in Paradise, Newfoundland, Canada where he is actively working as a concert promotor and continues to write, record, and promote his own music.
