Biography
Twice Around: A modern, yet semi-throwback folk duo from Connecticut. Their debut release "Short Story Long", a collection of 12 original songs, reflects their sense of play and a retro affinity for melody. Longtime friends Frank Veres and Luisa Tanno have been making music together since 1996. Their sound could be classified as Contemporary Folk with essence of Pop and Melancholy. The foundation of their music is acoustic guitar and vocals and their songs are supported by a full production and interesting instrumentation on the album.
Places they've played: The Acoustic Café, Fairfield Theatre Company, Cornelia Street Cafe (NYC), Twelfth Note Coffeehouse, Commonfolk Coffeehouse, Klekolo World Coffee, Kafe International, Koffee, Relay for Life, Westport's First Night and annual Arts Festival, The Pine Loft Cafe, and plenty of Borders and Starbucks throughout the Tristate area.
Artists they've opened for or shared the stage with: Cheryl Wheeler, Mindy Smith, The Kennedy's, Aztec Two Step, Christine Havrilla, Open Book, Chris "Smokin' Opey" D'Amato, Adrienne Jones
