Biography
5'11" from boot heel to crown, and all emotion... Til Willis crawled out into a humid Mississippi morning in 1980, and has been moving forward ever since. From dirt roads to tiny sonic worlds on plastic discs he throws his meager weight around as though he were twice his size, with a voice even bigger. He's shook hands with legends after singing beside them, and embraced the finest of ladies. He discussed whiskey with Ramblin' Jack Elliott, and sang woeful blues with Jesse Robinson. He's shared stages with the Subdudes, and Mel Melton and the Wicked Mojos. All the while traveling on to different towns and different gigs.
Aside from the music Til is also a published award winning poet, abstract painter, philosopher, and musicologist.
