Mountain Fever Records is excited to release the latest single from Thomas Cassell, "Welcome to Virginia." As characterizes bluegrass songwriting, this heartfelt tune juxtaposes the message of disappointment in a relationship, with the capital of love at its heart; Virginia. Cassell’s mandolin mixes comfortably with hopefulness in the lyrics, soon to be disappointed by unpredictable love. This new addition to the canon is sure to please traditionalists and modern bluegrass lovers alike.

“Though I don’t live there still, I’m very proud to be from far southwestern Virginia, and feel so lucky to have grown up in a place with such rich bluegrass history. This song was born during a co-write with Tim Stafford, who also played guitar on the cut,” says Thomas.

The song features Thomas Cassell on mandolin and lead vocal; Tim Stafford on guitar; Ron Stewart on banjo; Bronwyn Keith-Hynes on fiddle; Max Etling on bass; and Marshall Wilborn on harmony vocal.
