Biography
The Wildes are from about as far south as you can get. Melbourne is only a few hundred kms from Antarctica, but it has a burgeoning alt-country scene - and The Wildes have emerged as the stand-out young act in a competitive pack.
Under the heavy influence of Johnny Cash, Dylan, Springsteen and their fellow-countryman Nick Cave, The Wildes play a captivating collection of self-penned folk songs, sea-shanties, murder ballads and country bawlers.
Having embarked on two highly successful tours of Europe and the UK The Wildes are about to release their highly anticipated debut album - and have set their sights on a release in the USA in 2009.
