Biography
Steeped in the acoustic roots and bewitching mountain harmonies of the American backwoods, The New Prohibition Band is forging their own brand of neo-folk. Their sound centers around the chilling voice and driving songs of clawhammer banjoist/guitarist Cera Impala, joined by Dirk Ronneburg on fiddle, and Thomas Baumgarte on contrabass. According to East Bank Radio of Nashville, TN, this acoustic power trio delivers 'plenty of bang for the buck.' They moved from Olympia, WA to Berlin, Germany in 2007 to embark on what they call 'a semi-permanent tour of Europe.
