Running Parallel to the punk movement circa 1977...1979
in San Francisco was also a pop music explosion that owed more to rock bands such as the Stones,Byrds,Animals etc.than
to the Sex Pistols,Clash etc.
The Cinders were of that genre (along with the Readymades and others that stradled that line between old school rock and the more frenetic punk sound of
the time.
Masterwerks recently aquired the rights to the entire Cinders catalogue.This newly remastered cd(at Straylight studios in Burbank)includes the only ten songs known to have been professionally recorded by the group.
