Biography
Formed in 2006 in the Cumberland Valley portion of the eastern mountains and coal fields region of Kentucky, The 23 String Band has a charismatic repartee with uncommon displays of instrumental prowess weaving in and out of bluegrass, old-time and acoustic roots genres using banjo, guitar, fiddle, mandolin, and upright bass as the vehicle. The band’s energetic style features original compositions as well the forgotten and obscure numbers from times past.
