Felipe Szarruk, Colombian-Salvadorian was born in Bogota in May of 1975. Study music, Drama, Film and Social Communication. He initiates his musical career from very young.

In 1994 he wins with his band “Rezingados”, the first prize of “La X” radio station contest, and records his first material. Form in 1996 “Los Muñecos de Rebeca”, a band that reached an ample degree of notoriety in Bogota rock and roll circuit, they recorded “El Cielo se abre” under the production of the “Arias” brothers and “San Blanco” record label, songs as “Labiole” and “Amor entre dos” became popular in the Underground of Bogota. With “Los Muñecos de Rebeca” they did more than 30 live concerts.

In 1999 Szarruk creates “Momia Negra Records” and releases his third production “Aqui estan los ladrones”, start touring the cities of Bogota andBucaramanga. In the middle of year 99, Szarruk took a trip to the old continent to experiment with his music. He was part of the group of volunteers from the Kibbutz Ye´Hiam in Israel, in this country several musical experiments where made with musicians from diverse parts of the planet, He has the opportunity to record the song “Danish Girl” in “The Basement” studios in the city of Malmo (Sweden). As a result of this trip, “dClub” is born, the project and the album. “Everything Hurts” is an hybrid production (English-Spanish) that reached privileged positions in some Colombian radio stations with the song “Maldita Juventud".

Szarruk opens in Bogota and art center destined as a place of relaxation and creativity for artists. Unpublished material is recorded in Sony Music Colombia Studios, The “album II” that happens to be an inward-looking experiment of the band. “dClub” becomes a successful project and Szarruk start touring cities of Colombia, they are invited to the festival “Bucaramega Rock” and to the program “Much Music” of the City channel TV. At the beginning of the 2001, Szarruk travels to Central America and it settles down in El Salvador, records his sixth studio album “Dulce Violencia” produced by “Audio Magico Digital”. He works as radio Dj in the best salvadorian station “Radio Femenina” and creates a program to support the national Rock movement: “Subterránica”.

“Subterránica” became a circle of rockers and several events are realized that already are an institution in El Salvador and Colombia, such as the “annual contest of bands” and the “Subterranica Music Awards”. “El Magico jardin donde jugaban las lesbianas flores azules” was the seventh disc in the musical career of Szarruk, produced by the recognized Salvadoran artist Roberto Salamanca, the CD includes the songs “Cara Bonita” number one in popularity lists and Number 11 in the 111 better songs of the 2002, and “Niña” that reached the position number four in lists and the 30 in best 111 of the year. In the 2003 Szarruk studies cinematography in the “Universidad Tecnologica” of El Salvador and spends the year to form a new band with which it would record the disc to release in 2004.

Juan Sebastián Casas his brother passes away in a traffic accident changing completely the course of the life of many people. This event was inspiration for many songs among them “Una entrevista con la muerte” which to one week on the radio entered the lists and it was the position number 82 in the 111 best ones of the 2003. Szarruk with his Subterránica show in 102.5 Radio Femenina and one On Line Radio Station inColombia has contributed with the growth of the rock movement of Latin America. Subterránica organizes contests of bands as well as annual music awards.

By 2005 Felipe Szarruk returns to Colombia to involve himself in different projects. Subterránica Radio became the fist On line radio station in the country, founded in May 2005, supporting new talents in Colombia. In 2006 writes and composes the first Colombian rock opera “Margarita and Faustus” released in February at the “Libélula Dorada” theater in Bogota with a first season of 12 nights, following to one second season in “La Mama” theater, and an invitation for the VIA of the Latin American festival of theater. “El magico jardin donde jugaban las lesbianas flores azules” is reedited an released by several radio stations in Bogota, Szarruk works as a host in the Channel 13 show “Revelados”. In the course of 2006 and 2007, Subterránica had a strong growth at local level and Szarruk decides to produce the first Rock Music Awards in Colombia. In January of 2007 releases his first short film “El Monologo de un psicopata!” in collaboration with the “training center for the image” and “Gravinal S.A”. By 2007 records what would be its new EP “Dirty Porno Rock” released in 2008. Publishes four books and began his promotional tour in the USA. In 2008 records “Una cancion por la paz” with 10 of the more recognized Colombian artists, among them The Mills, Don Tetto, Barrio Santo, Black Cat Bone and others. This same year Szarruk opens and artistic-cultural Center (INART) in the city of Bogota.

For 2009, Szarruk is the Colombian artist with more live presentations (more than 100) in the year. Make the third “Subterránica music awards” and the first awards dedicated solely to Heavy Metal, an event without precedents throughout the world. The song “Libertad” was awarded in the national contest of composition of the “UNAD” with the first position and its song “High” was chosen like part of the plan of free Music by Microsoft Windows and Reverb Nation.

In September of 2009, Szarruk travels for the second time to the US for a promotional tour playing on venues like “Bella Maria Café” and “Noodles”, works as Artistic Director in the first Rock & Arte festival in Florida and begins the pre-production of his tenth album “Trinidad” With that will celebrate 20 years of artistic career. To date Felipe Szarruk has published nine CDs, has worked in the fields of the theater, cinema and audio-visual, is considered one of the most prolific artists of the present time in Colombia and Latin America. With Subterrànica he has done 4 award ceremonies in Colombia and 6 inEl Salvador, 7 contests that have been seed plots of several artists in Latin America. has published four books, Sounded in radio stations around the entire world, had collaborations with great artists and has been managed to maintain far from mainstream in a solid and constant trajectory.
