Stephanie Stewart
(Singer, Songwriter, Musician, Producer)

As early as the age of 2, Stephanie began taking her first steps into the world of music by singing.  She never knew that one day her music would be heard all over the United States, Europe, Australia and even parts of Asia.

Born and raised in New Jersey, Stephanie began traveling and singing with her parents.  At the age of 15, Stephanie and her family moved to Indiana.  Having sung in show choir, church choir and with her parents, Stephanie had not sung by herself since she was very young.  Within six months after moving to Indiana, Stephanie and a friend were scheduled to sing at a church convention.  When the time arrived and Stephanie's friend did not, that left Stephanie singing solo.  "It was one of the scariest but happiest moments of my life.  I can look back on that incident with clairty and understand that God had a purpose and direction as to where he was taking my life."

Stephanie spent the next eight years singing at state and national conventions, street ministries and talent shows, while serving as youth minister, Sunday School teacher and music director at her church.  At the age of 23, while looking for a band to support her own music ministry, Stephanie and her husband met producer and friend, Van Lawson.  Van had previously worked and developed other artists and offered her a chance to work with him.  Stephanie spent the next four years developing her own style and working on her freshman project.  By the time her sophomore project "Harvest of Souls" was completed, she had become a respected songwriter and a good guitar player.  One of her songs, recorded by another artist, made a first ballot appearance at the Dove Awards.

In 2006, Stephanie co-produced and released, "Jesus Knows".  After the release, Stephanie began travelling all over the U.S. performing concerts and doing radio interviews.  Two of her singles, Jesus Knows and Gates of Heaven charted on separate radio charts in the Top 20.  Just months before the completion of Jesus Knows, Stephanie picked up the mandolin and became proficient enough to incorporate it into her concerts.  During her two years of traveling and sharing her latest project, she found herself singing all over the country and on a one week cruise aboard the Carnival Cruise lines in the Bahamas.  While there and enjoying some down time, Stephanie was stopped in a large straw market and met a woman who began talking to her about singing.  She asked Stephanie if she would sing with her.  Stephanie obliged and the lady began singing, I'll Fly Away.  Stephanie harmonized with her while other market people and shoppers gathered around to listen.  It was a surreal moment that Stephanie will never forget.

After taking a few years off, Stephanie is returning to music ministry more focused and determined than ever.  She has unchained herself from industry rules and is allowing the Lord to take her music where he wants it.
