Biography
Scraping For Change (also known as SFC) is a Bay Area based rock trio that makes their mark on every stage they set foot. SFC is known to have stellar live performances full of energy and crowd interaction. The band formed in Belmont, California in 2003. Scraping For Change is lead by vocalist and guitarist Sterling Selover and drummer Joe Szulkowski. They are currently working with bassist Jonathan Graham.

The founding members of the band were Sterling Selover and Anthony Andrade, Jr. They met while attending Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont, California. They instantly began playing and writing songs together. Selover and Andrade, Jr. had an opportunity to record demo tracks at a small studio built in the garage of a residential home in Turlock, California. Before going into the studio to record a demo track called "Black and White," Selover and Andrade, Jr. acquired the talents of Manny Gonzalez, a college friend, to play bass on the recording. The band grew with the addition of Chris Lovero on guitar, also a college friend.

Scraping For Change made their debut on Notre Dame de Namur University's campus in the spring of 2004. They played their first concert as Scraping For Change with Selover, Andrade, Jr., Gonzalez, Lovero and brought in Tim Urbanski to play drums.

The band went back into the studio to record demo tracks as a four piece with a studio drummer. Later they called on long-time friend and drummer, Joe Szulkowski to join the band and to complete the demo sessions.

In the summer of 2004, Scraping For Change went into Sparks Studios in Emeryville, California to work on their debut album, Heartaches and Danger. They worked with Kirk Casey and Tim Gorman (who has worked with The Who, The Rolling Stones, and others). They released their debut album in August, 2004.

"Crazy Mary" and "Neverending Blue," tracks off Heartaches and Danger hit the airwaves in Indonesia on rock radio station Prambors 102.2 FM in November 2006. SFC went on tour throughout Indonesia in the summer of 2007 to play in the largest music festival of the year, "Soundrenaline," where their song "Crazy Mary" hit 1 on the charts!!!

Scraping For Change has just finished their new album, 19*6*3, and is currently available from the band's myspace snocap store. It is also available in select stores in the San Francisco Bay Area. The CD is now available on CDBaby and soon on I-Tunes! The band is very excited about the new album and believe it is leaps above and beyond what they have done before.
