Biography
Bob was born in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, Scotland in 1967 & raised in the nearby town of Cumnock. He emigrated to Tasmania in 1979 with his family & now resides in the small North-West coast town of Stanley.
A State Registered Nurse & divorced father of two, Bob has played in bands since the age of 16. He was a member of one of Tasmanias' most popular bands until the mid-90's, when he left the band scene to focus on his nursing career & begin a family. During this period he still performed acoustic gigs at major venues & events.
After a 7-year hiatus from the music scene altogether due to a lenghty battle with alcohol abuse, Bob returned to the recording industry early in 2007.
He completed 2 self-written & performed CDs in late 2007 & decided to commercially release the second, "Straight Lines" with very positive responses from around the world.
Bobs' musical achievements in this relatively short period have included being "featured artist" on 'aiiradio', Dublin; "featured artist" on 'noisehead', #1 song on 'MusicForte', with another in the top 20 & holding 4 of the 'Top10' positions on 'bnoisy'. He has developed a loyal & solid fanbase, which is continually increasing from a wide range of listeners.
Bob is currently working on a third album.
