S.O.X.D is the latest musical project formed by Vincere Sylph in 2012. S.O.X.D fuses Electronica, Dark Ambient and Experimental."Battlefield" single opens the upcoming album by S.O.X.D. The album is scheduled for release this winter.

Vincere Sylph - the name behind S.O.X.D, started his musical journey in the mid 80's and led to the formation of "The Misericordia" project by 1990, a self-produced project which combined experimental, gothic and world music. His early works were inspired by the legendary 4AD label (artists like Dead Can Dance, Cocteau Twins, Clan of Xymox and others).

The rich mixture of Electro-sampling, dark sonorities, atmospheric and world music which dominated his early compositions, set the tone for many of his current works. By 1990 to early 2000, Vincere Sylph also explored his hidden love for "Synth/Electronica" with singles like "Before End" "Morgana" and "Voyage" a space travel trance odyssey.

Vincere Sylph's passion for the world of film music is demonstrated by his recent work on the video for "Babel's Sun Last Shedding Tear". This new special single from Vincere Sylph's upcoming album manifests an ominous yet evocative cinematic atmosphere by layering dark composition and thunderous percussion with Vincere Sylph's haunting chant and choral harmonies. Additional cinematic pieces include "Winter Leaves", licensed by Platinum Music (www.platinummusic.co.uk) under "Depth of Winter". The "Winter Leaves" album consists of three variations, including the long version "WINTER LEAVES: Before the Storm". With this dreamy composition, Vincere Sylph portrays the ever-changing landscape of winter, evoking its colors and emotions. Early works by Vincere Sylph include the music videos "Ankh" and "2012 The Ancient Egyptian Connection", showcasing a blend of world music themes with a dark, dramatic undertone.

Vincere Sylph's compositions seamlessly merge many musical forms: Classical, Cinematic, World, Middle Eastern, Chant, New age, Ambient, Electronica and experimental.
