Biography

Rick Parnell’s songwriting has been described as completely engaging and right for any generation. Introspective and captivating, some listeners have described Rick Parnell as a mix between Bob Dylan & Johnny Cash, with suggestions of Leonard Cohen, George Harrison, & John Lennon. Rick’s vocal and song writing style have been deeply influenced by many of the great folk, rock and contemporary singers and songwriters.

The songs are rich with nuance and possibility and are destined to be replayed and covered by artists across many musical genres. Rick’s current project, tentatively titled “Imperfect Beauty” explores the studio more fully and promises to deliver great songs with a fuller production. The disc will also introduce listeners to guitarist Hart Parnell, Rick’s youngest son who has been impressing live audiences with Rick for some time.
