GEZA X RECORDS CELEBRATES FIRST YEAR WITH VINYL!!

Veteran record producer and indie music personality Geza X teams up with radio legend Rodney Bingenheimer to release RODNEY ON THE ROCK VOL 4. Rodney Bingenheimer, also known as Rodney On The Rock, is one of the best-known disc jockeys in the world. His shows, first on Los Angeles’ KROQ-FM, and currently on SIRIUS XM Ch. 21, have been a hit with people of all ages since 1976. He is popular with the Indie crowd, playing the newest rock & roll and garage rock from all over the world. He was often the first to play songs that later became classics.

The project began with a 6-month long search for the perfect songs off the Rodney show. Geza and Rodney curated the list jointly. There were many considerations. Rodney wanted to make sure there were an even mix of female and male artists. Geza wanted to be sure there was a wide variety of styles. Both were interested to select songs that could be played on terrestrial college and pop stations, not just Rodneys Indie-oriented show. The idea was to expose the best bands to a broader audience. Geza was willing for the album to do modestly in financial terms, as long as it helped the bands and introduced his new label to the world on a solid footing.

It took another several months to get all the bands on the same page and sign a contract for the album. The first release was digital, and the expanded 18-song double album is currently available on Apple, Amazon, and all other digital platforms. However Rodney’s audience began demanding a vinyl version as well, so Geza and Rodney went back to the drawing board to make the difficult decision of whom to include in the 11 song vinyl edition. Geza X decided to go the distance in order to make the album a future classic.
