Trying in vain to figure out what the hell is inside of you, RiPTHOR is something that pummels, something that relieves, a violent assault ripping your guts, coming from a musical mixture of distorted riffs, power grooves and a ferocious voice. It’s in one package. It’s RiPTHOR in your senses.

A new act that comes with unnatural force of unknown origin hammering your head with blasting sounds you’ll never forget. This emerging Colombian effort formed in 2005, was born along with the hate, despair and wrath proper of our Latin kind.

Nevertheless, persisting through the bad times and giving a damn about the state of affairs and isolation, the band overcame everything and got to a higher level in the local scene. The music piece resulting is a confluence of the emotional and rational, the dark and aggressive, the resounding and sober of our hearts and mechanics coming together in a singular way.

The band creates an atmosphere to convey a socially concerned lyric narrative, focusing heavily on issues that touch one and all, but also explores some psycho madness and human mind-set feelings. It’s a musical sketch that explores bumping distorted guitar chords and creative melodies, storming drums, aggressive low tones, fully torn and desolated voices with no stereotyped limits. It is a continued struggle to achieve a state of satisfaction by any means, purging any psychological wounds with an emotionally-charged shockwave.

The band recently completed an EP recording session in September of 2007. The expectations are as big as the endeavor to make music even better. The band is trying to spread its music around the world and looking for support to keep on trucking.

The lineup: Cristian (sick vocals, hate, disdain and pure strength), Sergio (loud guitars, concrete and lush), Santiago (brutal drums, shocking, talented and inspired) and Mateo (grooving and bleeding bass). Every role combines many personal elements to bring total juxtaposition of thoughts and feelings.
