ABOUT QUE

Using his four octive range Que has played and created Pop Metal, Pop, Folk, R&B, Jazz. Que's current "Urban Contemporary" hopes to gain the interest of a slightly more mature and elevated audience. This project fuses Latin, Jazz, R&B, Pop, Pop Metal and Rap using inspiring lyrics. Que quote, "We forget that historically music is a sacred thing. Magic that can transform and inspire others be it positively or negatively so play it and use it responsibly and with respect because what you put out has a way of coming back to you."

Que plays keyboards, Bass guitar and guitar in a songwriting capacity, hand percussion instruments and is mainly a vocalist who loves harmonies earning the title "The Harmony Man" in the Bronx's Coop City in the 70's. In the 70's Que played such clubs as the now closed CBGB's, February's in Queens, was the opening act for a battle of the bands at Chippendales and took 2nd place to a pair of Opera singers in the 1984 Coop City Talent Show in The Bronx. The lead vocalist to GQ was one of the judges and encouraged Que to continue working as did Todd Rundrent through another source.

Que's voice was very popular in Colombia in the late 80's and was heard on the airwaves through the band "Ice Age" who's main artist was David Geller. Mr. Geller used a number of artists for his English production but joined with Que for a Spanish effort. Que created lyrics in Spanish and sang on all tracks that Mr. Geller claimed to be him.

Que is Uncle to Professional Video Gamer, Jacob Santos who is currently working the circut and Cousin To Javier Claudio one of the vocalists for the well known San Francisco (Bay Area) Latin Band "Mestizo" mestizoclr.com .

Enrique (Henry) Oliveras or "Que" is a home grown musician descendant of the late Enrique (or Qi Qe) Oliveras who flew on the NYC airwaves in the late 50's and early 60's with Latin music from Puerto Rico and was well known by many of the "Fania" label artists such as Eddie Palmerti, Willie Colon and the late Tito Puente who resided in the Bronx. Que grew up in the South Bronx where Rap began and where he enjoyed not only Latin music from Puerto Rico but also all the R & B and Rap greats. Que's stomping grounds were the same as such great rappers as Afrika Bambaataa of the Zulu Nation who he would pass near Monroe HS often but never met personally. Afrika's Hip Hop legacy now spans the world with members and sects of the "Zulu Nation" springing up everywhere. What Que loves about Afrika is his dedication to uplifting others by inspiring them to be better and having a good time through party music. Having come from that mindset Que wonders "Where did we go so wrong in rap as to forget and lose our sense of responsibility to the people we touch and influence?"

Que's mother was a Teachers Assistant in The Bronx and when busing began she did her best to assure Que and his siblings a good education having them bussed even further North where he heard, listened and learned to love Folk, Hard Rock, Fusion, Jazz, New Wave etc

His father being affluent in music in his time Que fell in love with music from conception and is a singer, songwriter and producer. Because of Que's varied exposure to all types of music HE feels that specializing in a Genre is like having one type of food for a meal everyday. This exposure and extensive experience with all styles makes que an exceptional songwriter, vocalist, lysricist and producer able to blend styles for crossover appeal.

Que is a Shiatsu Therapist and a Martial Arts and Meditation Instructor to groups, private students and corporations.(see HTFP on "Friends" list.). Que also works with a major healthcare insurance provider. Yes, Que is a very busy man. Que says, "whatever it takes"!

Only radio accounts may add a Radio Cred. One week after the track has been downloaded the radio account member will receive an email requesting a Cred for each artist they've downloaded.
