Winnipeg Free Press Review
PUSHING DAISIES How it Makes You Feel (Catch 23):
After an unusually long hiatus, guitar-pop outfit Pushing Daisies has finally released a followup to its 1998 debut, Pretending To Be Famous. The Winnipeg band remains committed to melodic tunes that straddle the line between adult pop and rock 'n' roll, delivering another highly polished album equal in quality to anything Collective Soul or Maroon 5 has ever recorded. How it Makes You Feel has such a big, radio-friendly sound, these guys really would be famous if they could only catch a break.

Winnipeg Sun Review
PUSHING DAISIES How it Makes You Feel (Catch 23):
STYLE : Meat-and-potatoes pop-rock with a side of sensitivity.
SUBSTANCE : Musical trends come and go, but classic songcraft never goes out of style.
That seems to be the philosophy behind Pushing Daisies sophomore set How it Makes You Feel. These gritty rockers and ballads dont come with bells, whistles, fancy tricks or faddish accessories; just strong melodies, straightup pop-rock grooves and lightly crunchy guitar lines topped by smouldering vocals and everyman lyrics. STANDOUTS : The radio-ready rocker Like You Do has a punchy riff and driving beat that are hard to top, though the cover of former tourmates The Guess Whos No Sugar Tonight/New Mother Nature comes close. ROCK EYEZ review- NEW JERSEY
Pushing Daisies have returned from hibernation! After releasing Pretending To Be Famous in 1998, their long awaited sophomore release How It Makes You Feel is bursting the seams with twelve-tracks of pure delight. The weekend opens the new release of high voltage pop, which is a great sing-along song. It will make the Club Circuit Jump!
These boys from Winnipeg, Canada know how to rock! When it comes to putting out a quality product, Punches is another kickn song that has the vibe of Bono and U2. It is melodic yet still driving the stake though the heart with bounce.
Roland Cote's vocals are captivating and will definitely hold your attention. The subtle guitar by Curtis Paull makes this song a classic. The best comparison of Pushing Daisies would be the likes of The Dave Mathews Band. Every band has that tear jerking ballad and Pushing Daisies is no exception. Stare will shoot to the top of the charts with this 'cant miss' ballad. I see a bright future for these Canadians as they break into the New Year! 4 OUT OF 5 STARS - Brian Rademaker
