Biography
ProBlack, a name that speaks volumes and demands respect in all of Hip Hop. ProBlack is made up of a dynamic duo of talent - Kagney Colbert-Carr aka "Pro" and Tim Allen aka "Black Prince". Together these two small town heros have sparked a new generation of hip hop music in the state of North Carolina. Approaching the summer of 1998, the two began work on what has now been molded into the hottest sound this state has ever heard. Like all independent artist, ProBlack has met many hurdles through their quest to be the best hip hop has to offer. In a similar story to many successful rap groups, they have dealt with rejection from all angles of the business. Instead of quitting, ProBlack pushed forward and created its own buzz and eventually became the face of Carolina's music scene. "We feel that the reason most artists don't last is they don't understand the business. ProBlack is not only a music group, it is a brand. We want to make Carolina hip-hop relevant on a national level."
With over 10 years experience in the Music Business, ProBlack is recognized as the forefront of North Carolina’s hip hop movement. Pro (Kagney Colbert-Carr) and Black Prince (Tim Allen) are the CEOs and Founders of CarolinaAllDay.com, where, through today’s technology, they have released the wave of talent throughout the Carolina hip hop scene. Through hard work and perseverance, ProBlack created the #1 website in the Carolinas by showcasing and promoting independent artists who, due to location, deal with the obstacles of a “closed door” industry. “It’s hard for us to make a name for ourselves in hip hop because people think North Carolina is not a hip hop oriented state. So we put together Carolina All Day to prove to the “industry cities” that we have just as much talent with the right exposure.”

ProBlack’s strong desire to elevate Carolina music to the forefront of the Music Industry is the inspiration for creating a centralized resource that provides young and talented artists from North & South Carolina an avenue to the Industry. ProBlack brings a great passion for exposing, promoting, and giving artists the opportunity to make a name for themselves in the industry. By employing an entrepreneurial philosophy, they have built a thriving, and still growing, website based on promoting the talent throughout the Carolinas. This proved to be the cornerstone of the rapid, leadership-focused path they have forged with such artists as Shelly B, Derty Den, F.A.M.M. Clique, PropJoe, Major, Ed E Ruger, and a whole list of others. A large component of ProBlack’s success is contributed to their “go get it” mentality and hip hop background. They are two college graduates with the drive and focus to do whatever it takes to put Carolina hip hop on the map.

ProBlack’s dedication to the continual improvement and growth is demonstrated through their achievements in building a website solely for the Carolinas, where, after less than a year, they have quadrupled the amount of website hits every month, which is projected to continually increase. By assembling a consortium of skilled professionals, ProBlack is confident their aspirations will be realized through their efforts in establishing and developing Carolina All Day. The dream is to offer that same level of expertise to Carolina hip hop, empowering them to reach the highest levels within the Music Industry.

"Radio Creds" are votes awarded to artists by radio programmers who have downloaded their music and have been impressed with the artist's professionalism and the audience's response to the new music. Creds help artists advance through the AirPlay Direct community.

Only radio accounts may add a Radio Cred. One week after the track has been downloaded the radio account member will receive an email requesting a Cred for each artist they've downloaded.
