Biography
Hailing from Oakland California, Polo began his rap career in 1996 as part of the Oakland group, Hittaz on tha Payroll along with members Flechberg Slim, Eddie Projex & Curcinado.

For more than ten years, Polo has split his time between Oakland and Atlanta which definitely contributes to his unique sound. The Bay Area is known for setting trends, which is reflected in Polo’s rap style. Grimy, true to his Oakland roots while incorporating the more eclectic sound of Atlanta. Although Polo has a sound uniquely his own, he is influenced by MC’s like Eric B and Rakim, Too Short, Slick Rick, 2 Pac, Naz, Biggie and Snoop Dogg.

Polo debuted with the Hittaz on Numbskull’s (1/2 of platinum-selling group Luniz) Good Laaawd, That's a Lot of Drank album in 1999. In 2001, with no distribution deal, the Hittaz sold their debut album, entitled Underground Like Dead People, “out the trunk,” and began to build a solid fan base. In 2003 The Hittaz really began to attract attention with the release of album, Ghetto Storm, on their own, City Hall-distributed Hitta Records and presented by Numbskull of the Luniz. Polo, along with Curcinado from the Hittaz released, Acid on FastLife/Hitta Records in 2004. Also in 2004 Polo released mixtape Underground Like Dead People II. Over the course of his career, Polo has collaborated with a multitude of artist including; The Luniz, Ice-T, Mac Dre, Keak the Sneak, B-Legit, Digital Underground San Quinn, Messy Marv and the list goes on.

Polo has been in the studio since the start of the year, writing and recording his first solo project titled C.H.A.P.S. (Cant Have A Polo Shirt.) Polo is known for his vivid lyrics; equal parts; aggressive, street, and witty. A combination that promises to make his solo debut, with a summer 2009 release date a solid and well rounded CD.
