Biography
Born in Grand Rapids, MI but hailing from Southeast Missouri, Nick Murphy grew up hard and grew up fast. He had to, for he was a world class martial artist from the age of 6 months.

All the other toddlers never stood a chance against his majesty. Take his Lego Castle? Not anymore!

At age 4, he had to promptly retire from the Martial Arts because he was just too damn good. At age 5, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe came along and Nick promptly forgot ALL his previous ninja like training.

Always a fan of music from a young age, Nick use to wander his apartment complex, screaming out made up songs at the top of his lungs for everyone to hear. Since he was 6 years old, no one could tell him to shut up. (True Story)

After many failed attempts at music, he got his first guitar at 19 and the rest is history.

"That was when I was writing songs for Led Zepplin" Murphy recalls, "Yeah, they weren't very good song writers, and needed me to help them out a lot. I had a very big hand in crafting "Stairway to Heaven" because of my near death experience involving a pissed off camel, a pack of matches and a naked girl holding some jelly beans. Originally, they wanted to call it, "Highway to Hell", but I told them that AC/DC, who I was also helping influence musically, already had that title. So I just thought, "What's the opposite of Hell?" There ya go."

Then, Porn came along and Nick promptly forgot all his help with the bands. The bands, good rockers that they were, thought that reminding Nick about his strong influence and trying to get him back would only bring him into some sort of rocker shock! So, they let him be and went on their merry way. Very happy to have met him.

Now Nick is broke, but happy and continues to write songs that aren't really suppose to be more than they are.

If you catch yourself humming one of his songs, cause it won't get out of your fucking head, then he feels he has done his job.

"Radio Creds" are votes awarded to artists by radio programmers who have downloaded their music and have been impressed with the artist's professionalism and the audience's response to the new music. Creds help artists advance through the AirPlay Direct community.

Only radio accounts may add a Radio Cred. One week after the track has been downloaded the radio account member will receive an email requesting a Cred for each artist they've downloaded.
