Biography

1973, in San Diego, California. Growing up on the rough side of town in San Diego, Moheshea and other young men who attended the St. Stephen’s Church of God In Christ Christian Academy formed the singing group “Outreach”. The group performed throughout the state of California as the opening act for popular gospel groups and artists such as Commission and Henry Porter. By his high school years, they had developed quite a following within the Church of God in Christ and among Christian youth.

The 1990’s were difficult years for Moheshea as he battled with the gang life and all the temptations gang life has to offer young men and women. Moheshea openly ministers to the youth via radio talk shows and performing live at gospel fests and historically black colleges and universities, talking to the youth about his personal experiences and what happens when you compromise, settling for less than what God has for you.

With a heart full of psalms, in 2006, Moheshea established the “Annointed Sounds” record label, creating an uncompromising and spirit lead sound. Songwriting, composing, mastering and producing sounds to save the youth from the vile of the world, believing by faith, “that no weapon formed against them shall prosper”.

Moheshea in 2007 released his first album, “Through it All” with hits, “How I Made It Over” a powerful testimony of his life as a gang member who made it out, “Jesus Can Work it Out” points the youth to answers for their unanswered questions about their Christian walk, and “Still Dreamin” his prophetic words for youth to always keep their eye on the prize. The entire “Through It All” album is a lesson about life, a “must have” for parents and youth if you want to make it over.

In 2007 Moheshea released a second album “ Clear Water” which goes a different direction, a collection of instrumental music - Come into His Presence, Walk with the Wise, From Water to Wine and Gabriel Play, just a few of the instrumentals that reflects the peace he finds in his walk with Christ. Moheshea credits his renaissance to his roots, “Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he shall not depart from it”. Proverbs 22:6
