Biography
LOLA DUTRONIC are a French Pop/Electronica duo based in both Toronto, Canada and Berlin, Germany.
The band sing in both French and English, and once even in Japanese(!)
They have put out 3 albums:
"THE WORLD OF LOLA DUTRONIC" (2005), 2007's "THE LOVE PARADE" (which was short-listed for a 2008 GRAMMY AWARD nomination in the Dance/Electronica category) and their latest album, "LOLA DUTRONIC IN BERLIN", songs from which are featured on this site.
In addition, the band has appeared on several compilation albums and re-packages in Asia.
Best known for their contributions to soundtracks such as "THE L-WORD", "GODIVAS", BLOOD TIES" and others, as well as writing the theme tune for CBC RADIO CANADA'S French language Arts Program "SUR TOUTES LES SCENES", the new album, "LOLA DUTRONIC IN BERLIN" features a special guest appearance by MIKE GARSON (of DAVID BOWIE fame) on piano.
The single "BRIGITTE BARDOT" has recently been playlisted by KROQ-FM's legendary RODNEY BINGENHEIMER, as well as being our #1 download at iTunes and our most viewed clip on YouTube.
