"The record reads like a love letter to a variety of styles from the 1970s, touched up in a completely contemporary way...a tug a war between early 1970s boogie rock and roll motifs and late decade new wave/punk influences ...sound[s] like Hagardorn somehow got The Band back together. - POPROCKRECORD
“Hagardorn is a man with friends in all the right bands (Minus 5, Decemberists, Richmond Fontaine) he’s also a man who understands the mechanics of songwriting." - AMERICANA UK
“...one of my favorite tunes of the year...an ethereal melody that David Lynch could have worked into one of his films.” - ABSOLUTE POWERPOP
“...a collection of very finely crafted songs in the tradition of Harry Nilsson, and Steve Forbert. While virtually every slacker kid with a guitar, a home studio and unlimited access to old vinyl recordings has started dropping those names in recent years Hagardorn’s the real deal, a writer and singer worthy of traveling in such legendary company.” - THE DAILY COPPER
“It's excellent indie rock with a pop sheen...this one's a must- get.” - ABSOLUTE POWERPOP
“...reminds of Swedish crooner Jens Lekman. Even when he’s in a familiar country-pop territory, Hagardorn taps into a low-key vulnerability” - THE WILLAMETTE WEEK
