Kira-Jade and Jamie Prokop ft. The Murray Williams Band
  • Baby It's Cold Outside
Biography
Baby, It's Cold Outside" is a pop standard in music written by Frank Loesser. It has been deemed by many as an all-time Christmas favourite but stretches beyond the boundaries of the Christmas holidays and into the further winter months as well.

A classic time piece that has been recorded countless times by the likes of Ray Charles, Dolly Parton, Ella Fitzgerald, Johnny Mercer, Michael Buble, James Taylor and Natalie Cole just to name a few from a very long and talented list of artists.

2 other names we will forever place on that list will be Kira-Jade & Jamie Prokop. In a small but mighty studio in Brantford, Ontario comes a down-home Canadian country classic reborn and rewritten to display the wholesome values that in our times today seem to sometimes get burried under the snow, so to speak. Recorded at I AM Studios, rewritten by Jamie Prokop and produced by Mr.Prokop and Jim Killgore of KILLPRO Productions, this version of "Baby It's Cold Outside" is already receiving radio play in cities across Canada and bringing about rave reviews said to be a fresh and fun sound with uplifting voices all throughout. Please accept this as your official invitation into the I AM family of artists and production. We believe in strong community and building valuable relationships within our organization and hope you will find pleasure in playing this song for your listeners over these next few months.

If there is any chance that you may have a spot on your website that could bring more awareness to the song please feel free to post any or all of the links below.

Kira-Jade

With her high energy stage presence and undeniable star quality, it’s no wonder Kira-Jade has been referred to time and time again as Canada’s next Shania Twain. It’s hard to believe that this passionate performer is only 21 years old, with the list of accomplishments she has already incurred in her career. She had the incredible opportunity to open for Tim McGraw at Roger’s Bayfest to a crowd of over 10,000 in the summer of 2009 in her hometown of Sarnia, Ontario and with radio play of her Nashville recorded and produced singles “Sittin on top of the World” and “Down that Road”, numerous radio and media interviews, and even an interview and appearance on CMT, the ball has kept rolling ever since. Kira-Jade is also an accomplished actor and model and has travelled across the globe performing and modeling professionally for a number of years. She has proved to be a positive role model and made a mark in her community that will last for years to come. Kira-Jade is currently working with producer and songwriter Jamie Prokop in Canada and hopes to have a new album released for her fans sometime in 2010. With so much behind her and even more ahead, the future looks bright for Canada’s own Kira-Jade. If you would like to know more about Kira-Jade check her out at www.myspace.com/kirajade1

Jamie Prokop

From the moment Jamie was born he was baptized into music. His father, Skip Prokop, had 2 internationally acclaimed bands in The Paupers and Lighthouse and Jamie grew up listening to Classic Rock, Motown, R&B and Jazz. He began singing at a young age and even performed on commercials for major toy manufacturers like Irwin. As Jamie got older he took his impeccable work ethic that his mother and father had instilled in him and began to apply it to music. He is an accomplished drummer and at age 15 started to teach himself how to play the guitar. He started writing songs and performing in his High school. Skip ahead a few years and now Jamie has his own up and coming band, Mercy Train, that is working on their first full length album at I AM Studios in Brantford, Ontario due out early 2010 and it just so happens that the man behind the drum kit in Mercy Train is the same man that Jamie calls dad. It has been a long road, but through his musical experiences Jamie has learned to hone his craft as a singer/songwriter, arranger, engineer and producer and now has his own production company with I AM Studios’ partner Jim Killgore called KILLPRO Productions “KILLer Music PROduction” and is working diligently on forming his own publishing company as well with the help of partner and studio owner Gary Kennett and father Skip Prokop.
