During the past 30 years, Canadian songwriter Ken Dunn has performed at hundreds of venues across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Central America, while recording ten albums of original music, many of which have received significant airplay on folk radio. Americana Highways called his first career retrospective collection, Anthology: Volume 1 “one of the best of 2022.”

“My intention in releasing Anthology Volume 2,” Dunn explains, “was to share a body of work spanning a period of 30 years that had only been available on a limited basis due to a lack of resources. Now in my 70’s, I wanted to ensure that these songs had an opportunity to reach a broader audience to do their healing work because, as they say, carpe diem - there is no time like the present.”

Anthology Volume 2 features 18 carefully curated tracks, many of which are from studio and live recordings that were either unreleased or subject to limited distribution. As such, Anthology Volume 2 intends to make Dunn’s lesser known work available to a much wider audience via folk radio for the first time.
Dunn writes, performs, and records with the intention of promoting peace, social, and environmental justice. Alternatively light-hearted and pensive, contemporary, yet infused with tradition, this is music focused on positive human values, with diversity and inclusivity at its core.

Notable performances include those at Canada’s Festival of Friends, a sold out concert at the historic Santa Ana Theatre in San Miguel, Mexico, the Central California Neil Young tribute show in Paso Robles, California, and Jerry Jeff Walker’s Festival in San Pedro, Belize.

With the intention of promoting peace, social, and environmental justice through music, Ken has also performed a number of benefit concerts, including those for Amnesty International, Playing For Change, L.A. Family Housing, and the Harry Chapin Food Bank.
