Biography
Joyride brings back the past with a new level of excitement on their newest release entitled “Are You Fer It”. Blending acoustic bass, piano, drums with a signature voice this veteran trio from Nashville, TN have recorded a collection of hit songs from the Great American Songbook, Nat King Cole, and Ray Charles (just to name a few) that now swing like never before. “We love playing this music and watching the reaction of our audience… the grin that sneaks up on your faces is our true motivation and the opportunity to bring our take on this classic era to a brand new generation of hipsters keeps the grin on ours. So let’s get it started…”

C.C. Miller (lead vocal): Born in Massachusetts, he began taking voice lessons by Judy Davis. She had helped many of the current popular artists such as: Sinatra, Mel Torme, Tony Bennett, and Garland. He studied with her for 10 years, and then he eventually began playing with the group, The Dynatones. He moved to Nashville in the mid 90’s and continued to pin hits like “Mustang Sally” and “Respect Yourself”.

Mark T. Jordan (piano and backing vocals): He was initially trained classically for 13 years; however, many different musical influences changed that after college. Jordan then auditioned for Van Morrison which led to “Tupelo Honey”. He then began touring and recording with Bonnie Raitt, Jackson Browne, Dave Mason, Lee Roy Parnell, and Wynonna, and as a writer, he’s had his songs cut by Bonnie, Taj, The Carpenters, Randy Crawford, Tom Jones, and Bill Medley.

Scott Chambers (acoustic bass & backing vocals): Originally from Detroit, he began his career when he moved to LA in 1976. Chambers toured with Marilyn McCoo & Billy Davis, Jay Ferguson, and the Pointer Sisters. He also appeared in the 20th Century Fox movie “The Rose”.
