Biography

Jim & Valerie Gabehart have been husband and wife, and musical partners, for 29 years. After staying close to home in the hills of West Virginia while raising their family, their children have grown and gone and Jim & Valerie have a new CD titled "It's My Turn". Jim, a 5-time West Virginia State Champion banjo player, is a part-time attorney and full-time musician. Valerie is a pioneer female vocalist in bluegrass who Bluegrass Unlimited Magazine described in 1985 as a "gutty, dynamic" singer with "major league talent". They have distributed their new CD to radio stations across the world and look forward to traveling for performances across the country.
