Biography

Jennifer Evans is a native of Mississippi, with a soulful gospel sound, that speaks of her southern heritage. While growing up, Jennifer endured a lot of abuse, but God and music was her source of strength and refuge. It was during those difficult times she realized the gift God had given her--her gift of song. Others recognized this talent too, and although she was raised in the traditional Baptist tradition, at the young age 12, Jennifer was touring in clubs singing secular music.

Jennifer Evans' road to the artist she has become today culminated from a valley experience. She studied the Word of God faithfully, and while in that valley wrote the songs of praise you hear on her first CD, "Delayed But Not Denied".

All of the songs are original, written and composed by Jennifer Evans herself--with the exception of the classic "Jesus Loves Me". Jennifer resides in Chapel Hill, North Carolina with her husband and three children.
