Biography
CASSANDRA KUBINSKI BIO

Creating worlds. Connecting emotions. Sharing stories. Gut-level sensuality. These are the siren songs Cassandra Kubinski channels from our deepest realities while whimsically spinning us upon her pop carousel of human experience. Always reaching for the golden ring of truth…always connecting the personal to the universal - perfectly.

Cassandra’s loaded tales of love, lust, tears and transformation have exploded their way onto two full-length albums, one double-live album and two smart, elegant EPs. She’s recorded and released songs with Grammy-Nominated rock star John Rzeznik (Goo Goo Dolls), Grammy Award-winning trumpeter Chris Botti and pop singer/multi-instrumentalist Mary Ramsey from 10,000 Maniacs.

Legendary Piano Man Billy Joel even encountered one of her award-winning songs online, “Cradle The Moon”, and directly reached out to express his admiration. She and Joel then collaborated on her original song, “No Hard Feelings”, which is also referenced lyrically in Billy’s official biography.

And now, creative full steam ahead - Cassandra’s 2016 EP ONWARD is a new adventure that serves up a meditative yet joyful dive into the kaleidoscope of life.

“These are some of the most personal songs I’ve ever written…you can expect a mix of intensity vs. lightness, love vs. regret, struggles and triumphs, and always hope, and love."– CK

The result? Songs that question a world which constantly bombards us with images of what we’re supposed to be, instead of allowing us to just BE. ONWARD’s powerful, positive songs and soulful dynamism connect with and guide us toward a reality of beautiful, evolving possibilities.

Career-wise, Kubinski’s talent has been utilized by many media powerhouses. She’s long captivated Hollywood with her songwriting, most especially on Lifetime’s wildly successful show Dance Moms – which has featured no less than 8 of her tunes, including fan favorite “Swim” (almost 500,000 views for the lyric video on YouTube!). Her songs have been highlighted on the soap opera One Life To Live, RuPaul’s Drag Race as well as in numerous films, commercials and voice overs. By the way: that’s Cassandra as “Marcia Brady” w/Danny Trejo on Snickers’ 2015 2015 Super Bowl XLIX Very Brady commercial, winner of the advertising industry’s very FIRST Super Clio Award. You’ve undoubtedly heard her vocal talents in ads or jingles for some of the world’s largest brands like Amex, Maybelline, Capitol One, Home Goods, Hershey’s and Hasbro.

Over the course of 5 albums and multiple singles, Cassandra's had the opportunity to open for and perform with industry heavyweights like the Goo Goo Dolls, 10,000 Maniacs, Dickie Betts, Anna Nalick; sing and dance in Drama-Desk nominated musical theatre; and tour coffeehouses, colleges, clubs, theatres, and living rooms from NYC to LA to Jamaica to Germany.

Tapping into her accomplished theatre background, Cassandra also acts in both film and television. She’s appeared in several high profile shows including Spin City with Michael J. Fox and Finding Forrester with Sean Connery and Anna Pacquin.

Cassandra gives back just as much as she creates for the world. "Music inspires, music connects, music heals" is the mantra that's led her to contribute her time and talent to organizations such as Susan Komen’s Race for the Cure, Swish: The Gay/Straight Alliance and her decade-long work performing music in hospitals w/LifeBEAT. Additionally, she serves as a board member for the prestigious, non-profit organization Women In Music and is a proud BMI songwriter and SAG/AFTRA member.

The Autism Community is also extremely dear to her heart. Inspired by a close friend’s autistic children, she wrote the inspirational anthem “Not So Different”, which was released with the support of Autism Speaks and has been nationally featured in numerous Autism Awareness campaigns. In 2016, she joined forces with super producer Armand Petri (whose own son is autistic) and re-recorded “Not So Different” with John Rzeznik (Goo Goo Dolls) and 10,000 Maniacs’ Mary Ramsey. 100% of the song proceeds are donated to The Institute for Autism Research and a joint benefit concert by all three artists in April 2016 raised over $30,000. On a personal note, you can find Cassandra’s other passions channeled into dark chocolate discoveries, daily yoga practice and leading kirtans. She can also be found cuddling with her best doggie niece, Annie and listening to Brazilian jazz while dreaming of tropical island Shangri-Las.

Cassandra captains a magical, musical rocket ship through our inner and outer galaxies... are you in for the ride? ;-)
