Biography
"One of the best Bay Area alt-rock bands." (Oakland Tribune)

"Highcyde haven't been around long, but they have so much energy you can't help but turn it up. Watch these guys, they'll be on a label within a year or two." (Podsiphon)

Highcyde is a San Jose, California-based alternative rock band surging in popularity. For Highcyde, it's all about driving rock guitar, powerful beats and lyrics almost anyone could relate to. Highcyde enters 2006 armed with its first full-length album titled "My Story Now," and can be seen performing across California and the U.S.

Formed in early 2002, Highcyde emerged when vocalist Jay Castillo and guitarist Tony Thompson were connected through the large group of mutual friends the two didn't know they had, which eventually helped jumpstart Highcyde's popularity among a diverse and growing fan base.

In the summer of 2004, the band released its first self-titled EP. The song "Final Hour" led off the CD, and received such acclaim from independent reviewers as "very radio-friendly," having "cool powerful electric guitar licks," as well as being the "best song reviewed in a while." The EP also included the popular song "Redlands," which continues to be performed acoustic today, as well as the intense "Remember."

From May through October 2005, the band made Redwood City, California its second home recording its debut album "My Story Now." The album was created to symbolize not looking back at the past or even looking ahead too far into the future, but living in the "now." It's for anyone who has ever had their motives and loyalty questioned in the past, and wanting to stand up and say..."this is my story now, don't ever doubt my faith!"

Today, Highcyde is actively touring to promote "My Story Now," and can be found rocking a venue near you or on MySpace at www.myspace.com/highcyde.

"Radio Creds" are votes awarded to artists by radio programmers who have downloaded their music and have been impressed with the artist's professionalism and the audience's response to the new music. Creds help artists advance through the AirPlay Direct community.

Only radio accounts may add a Radio Cred. One week after the track has been downloaded the radio account member will receive an email requesting a Cred for each artist they've downloaded.
