Biography
Hafdis Huld is one of the most original new talents to emerge in years. She is a former member of iconic Icelandic collective Gus Gus, and co-writer of F C Kahuna’s massive ‘Hayling’ and ‘Machine Say Yes’. Now solo, she can give full rein to her quirky take on life, and her seductive sugar-sweet vocals belie the often very dark undercurrents in her lyrics. Her debut solo album, Dirty Paper Cup, is an album of perfect catchy pop with a very dark twist.

Hafdis Huld ‘Dirty Paper Cup’ – press reaction:

“Deliciously skewed pop” 4 stars The Guardian
“An irresistible album .. an eclectic set of cute, quirky, dark pop” The Fly
“Songs to appear in your dreams” Music Week
“Excellent .. full of quirky pop songs” Napster
“You will not be able to resist” Spill Magazine
“We predict a very bright future for her” Hit Sheet
