Biography
Future Native is a band with a mission, hailing from the Hinterland of the Gold Coast, Queensland. Their sound has been described as a modern blend of emotionally charged and thought provoking anthems. Last year was a big one for the band with extensive recording & touring to many venues and events such as Woodford, Byron Blues & Roots and Wollumbin Festivals. After the success of their last album Rusty Rocks which included the singles Protest Song & Your Backyard featured on national and international radio, they have now released their 2nd album The Politics of Love on Revelation Records thru MGM distribution. The Politics of Love is a passionate acoustic driven album now receiving international acclaim after the bands recent return from a very successful UK tour covering England, Scotland and Ireland. The group played over 30 shows and 4 major music festivals, including Glastonbury. After turning heads with their high energy show, the band returned back to Australia with the first stock of the new album sold out. Their debut single from The Politics of Love called Dangerous is now gathering attention around the country. The band has produced a new video clip for Superman, (viewable on the website) & is filming two new, Beauty (filming on the Gold Coast), & Time Will be Good (which was shot in Paris and off the west coast of Scotland). Future Native is a 3 piece band consisting of award winning singer/songwriter P.J. Creamer on Vocals & Guitar. His voice has been described as uplifting & emotive, and, his experience and credibility in the entertainment industry as a producer, songwriter and performer has grown with the number of high profile projects he has been involved in producing. Melanie May plays bass, Violin and mandolin in the group and is considered by many in the industry to be a master of vocal harmonies. She has been working with P.J as a co-writer for many years and has been classically trained in voice, violin and piano. Scott Phillips is an N.I.D.A graduate, born into a show business family. Scott is a world class percussionist having played with many high profile acts and also adds a 3rd part harmony to Future Natives polished vocal style.
