Biography

Faded Blue is amongst the fastest up and coming bands in the East Coast. 2006 has been an extremely busy/successful year for the band. Performing over 90 shows in their first year, Faded Blue still managed to record their first full-length album The Blue Mountain Gate at Feswick Productions. They also made a debut appearance at Music Nova Scotia Week down in Liverpool NS where they received the chance to perform a Rock Showcase at Doolys in front of many industry personnel. The boys also made some TV appearances on such shows as Breakfast Television where they were featured twice with their new single So Blind and title track The Blue Mountain Gate. Faded Blue also showed their support at the charity event Christmas Daddies Telethon 06 where they wrote and performed a Christmas song Here & Gone.

Having just accomplished a very successful year in 06 the guys were really expecting a huge year in 07. 2007 started off with half of the band quitting, leaving Tyler Lopez and Bryan Page the grueling decision to pack it in or finding new musicians worthy of starting a career with. They chose to find new musicians, and what a good decision that would lead to be. They found the pride of Prince Edward Island, guitar sensation, Nick Gauthier. Nick moved to Halifax in 06 to join a serious band and kick start his long career with music and that he got!

Faded Blue has their first major tour coming up starting July 21st and going until September 15th with Marshall Dane (www.marshalldane.com and JF Coley (www.coleymusic.com). The guys will be travelling as far as Ontario and hitting every major city and town on the way, totaling over forty gigs!

Along with Nick, they found an Ontario bassist/ studio owner, Mark Clazie. Mark owns Harmonic Wave Studio where he has recorded several local bands and solo acts. (www.harmonicwavestudios.com) Mark has fit in very well with the group, and looks forward to doing whatever it takes to make it big with the band.

Faded Blue has many goals they will strive for in 07 and years to come. For now, playing live shows, getting back in the recording studio, and continuously writing new material is the only goals they will tell because their goals may seem too big and too bad for some people to believe in. I guess we shall see where the boys take themselves in the future, until then, stay tuned and keep rockin to the one and only, FADED BLUE.
