Biography
Elizabeth Coyle is a rising singer-songwriter from Washington DC. Her music is best categorized as a colorful blend of folk, blues and jazz with soulful and soaring vocals. Elizabeth is earning a steadily growing following that appreciates what her lyrics have to offer: stories of love, intimacy, loss and an understanding and honest expression of the realities of everyday life.

Elizabeth's fans will get the opportunity to make a deeper connection with her music, as she will be releasing her first full-length solo album in early 2008 with Realize Records. Her acoustic trio CD, "Live at Jammin' Java," released in December of 2006, features Elizabeth accompanied by the skillful arrangements and instrumentation of Phil and Chris from The Lloyd Dobler Effect. This album features several fan favorites, such as "Jessup," "Secret," and "The Waltz." The CD also features a beautiful and haunting rendition of Green Day's "Holiday."

The solo album, yet untitled, will paint a unique picture of the oft-hidden complexities of day-to-day life: the lingering doubts and little victories, the longing that calls you away and the love that makes you stay.

"I started writing songs when I was about 16, but I never imagined I would be performing them for people all over the world," Elizabeth recalls. In June 2006, Elizabeth toured outside of the United States for the first time as part of a month long tour of Japan, Guam and the Marshall Islands. Typically, Elizabeth frequents coffeehouses and music venues in Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia and Delaware, including the 9:30 Club and Jammin' Java.

Elizabeth Coyle's voice is timeless and simply put; she is arguably one of the most soulful singers in Washington DC.
