Biography
2008 Hollywood Award Winner Derren Raser recently announced the official release of his DEBUT album Home In This Direction.

Home in This Direction is Derren's first full-length studio release since 2005, when the Derren Raser Band worked with artist/producer Greg Laswell to release King of I'll Tell You Next Week. Derren's first solo effort marks a distinct step forward in his songwriting maturity. Described by critics as "Simon & Garfunkel meets the Shins," Raser seamlessly blends the sounds of mainstream rock and pop with the more subtle mediums of art song and folk story telling. With evocative and engaging melodies and lyrics, he weaves stories of love, loss, and enduring faith.

Featuring performances by industry veterans like Arnold McCuller (James Taylor Band), Rob Whitlock (Michael Brecker, Anthony Jackson), Bob Hoffnar (Hem), and newcomers like Daniel Rhine (Sara Bareillis), and Brandon Walters (Greg Laswell, Joshua Radin), Home In This Direction showcases 13 dynamic arrangements of some of Raser's most unique and exciting songwriting yet.
