Jon Doe 21 self-proclaimed king of D.C was doing his thang on Anonymuz Records. In the process of releasing his mix tape series one reached Cuzzo Music wayyy In St. Louis…fate? Let's continue. Upon hearing this east coast phenom, Cuzzo Music quickly signed him as both an artist and producer. Simultaneously Trew 22 was creating a buzz under the umbrella of Lions Lair Ent. His compilations were bangin' throughout St. Louis. Cuzzo, being so deep in the underground had the inside edge on Trew and swept him up to join the family!! Trew's delivery has been often compared to Pimp C and Jon Doe's production has caused the duo to attract attention across the Midwest. Last summer the duo embarked on a promo tour. During this grind they successfully garnered excitement from fans with their creative sound and look. The tour focused on the Midwest from St. Louis to Cleveland and from Milwaukee to Louisville. "We put our grind hat on and went at it" says Trew. "It was something we had to do" says Jon Doe. We were not going to be satisfied being known in one spot the duo explained. Doe feels Trew blesses his tracks with innovation and a magnetic flow, while Trew feels Jon Doe adds to his delivery with crisp production and savvy instrument arrangements that give the fans something to anticipate when listening to Chop Shop.
