Biography
Coup De Masse was formed in 2002. Simon and Guillaume had been talking about forming a francophone Oi! band for a while, an important detail because even though there was a large French-speaking scene in Quebec, most of the bands sung in English.
Phil and Frank soon joined the line-up. This line-up recorded the song "Glorieux combat" which was featured on the Nouvelle Aube compilation, released on the well-known French label Bords De Seine.
In 2003, Jules steps in and participates in the recording of the "Maculé de sang" cassette demo, released by Massive Records. Shortly after follows a split 7" EP with the French band Crâne De Fer.
In 2005, Phil, Frank and Jules leave the band. Simon then recruits François, former drummer of Class Of 84, and Jonathan, guitarist of Trouble Makers. The new members give a breath of fresh air and renewed energy to the band. Then Laurent, who used to play in the hardcore band Corruption 86, joins on bass, and the band soon starts working on their album "Mourir pour vivre" which is released on Belgian label Pure Impact Records in 2009.
